Summer Camp C.I.T. Program

C.I.T. Program for 13-18yr olds

Participants must have attended at least one week of PCSL summer camps in the past to qualify for a CIT position.

C.I.T.'s = Counselors in Training

C.I.T.'s will help one head instructor throughout the session with group management, setting up games and carrying equipment.

They still get to Surf!

Our coaches are all great surfers and they only got there through practice. C.I.T.'s will get their fill of surf practice everyday!

$275 per session

Again, this offer is for students 13 years and older. There will only be 6 C.I.T. spaces available each week.

The CIT Program is a great fit for:

Teens who have previously attended a PCSL camp
Campers who enjoy helping others and leading by example
Teens interested in teaching, coaching, or ocean-related work
Youth looking to build confidence, communication, and teamwork skills

CITs work alongside experienced head instructors, assisting with group management, beach games, and equipment, while still getting daily surf time. The program emphasizes leadership development, ocean safety awareness, and responsibility, preparing participants for future roles as counselors or instructors.

daily breakdown

10am - Meet instructors in the grassy park behind the tennis courts at 80 Brighton Ave. Bolinas, Ca.

10-10:20 - Get suited, help younger students get suited, help carry boards down to the beach.

10:20-10:30 - Help Coaches teach Daily Surf/Ocean Lessons: Monday- pop-ups, Tuesday- Etiquette, Wednesday- Currents, Thursday- Buddy System

10:30-12:00 - Assist campers and coaches in the ocean

12:00-1:00 - Lunch: Game/Adventure- Groups will compete to win small prizes while learning valuable surf and ocean lessons (Wednesday's we venture into the lagoon to learn about currents.)

1:00-2:30- CIT SURF session!

2:30-3pm - Help bring all equipment back up to the truck and change into warm, dry clothes!
